Leadership Transition at DCAI

Today, we announced that Nadia Carlsten has chosen to step down as Chief Executive Officer of DCAI, following the successful establishment, market launch, and scale up of the company and its flagship product Gefion, Denmark’s AI supercomputer. With Gefion now operating at scale, this marks a natural transition point as the company prepares for its next phase.

Since her appointment as CEO, Nadia has led DCAI from inception to a fully operational organization with growing impact. Under her leadership, DCAI launched, operationalized, and scaled Gefion and established strong operating structures to serve a rapidly expanding base of commercial customers and users across research, start-ups, and industry. Together, these efforts have created a robust foundation for DCAI’s continued growth and scaling.

“From day one, my mission was to deliver AI infrastructure that creates real and lasting value,” said Nadia Carlsten. “Together with an exceptional team and committed partners, we built both a world-class high-performance computing platform and the organization needed to operate it at scale. Seeing the strong demand from users and growing community of customers rely on Gefion to accelerate their innovation has been the greatest reward. I am proud that DCAI is now internationally recognized as a provider of sovereign, large-scale AI infrastructure.”

On behalf of the Board of DCAI, Chair Nana Bule, said:

“We want to extend our sincere thanks to Nadia for her dedication and impact during this formative phase for the company. Her contributions have been instrumental in bringing Gefion to where it is today and establishing it as a competitive large-scale AI computing platform. We have a strong foundation in place and as we look forward, we remain committed to advancing our sovereign AI offerings to the market. We wish Nadia every success in her next chapter.”
