Danish Centre for AI Innovation (DCAI) is a company established to run and operate Gefion, Denmark’s first AI supercomputer. Our mission is to lower the barrier to access the most advanced computing capabilities, and we work with customers from academia, startups, and enterprise to accelerate AI research and innovation. DCAI is funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation and by EIFO.

Meet Nadia Carlsten, our CEO

Dr. Nadia Carlsten is the CEO of the Danish Center for AI Innovation (DCAI), where she oversees Gefion, Denmark’s first AI supercomputer. With extensive leadership experience, she has driven innovation strategy and product development at top tech companies, including at SandboxAQ and AWS, where she led quantum and AI initiatives. Nadia has a strong track record of managing large-scale public-private technology programs and advising on global tech policy. She holds a PhD in Engineering from UC Berkeley.
